I'd like to have a quick search option in list overview to check if a specific company/ contact is already on that list.

Not just for lists but also for the search

I feel the same! Maybe it could be in Connect and Target, shown as a small symbol and if you move your mouse on the symbol you could also see what list they are on. Of couse this would be user-specific and for their saved lists.
